Art Supply Information
Introduction to Watercolor Painting

Please read the below information in its entirety concerning art supplies

Art supplies not provided in this class. Students are responsible for acquiring them prior to the start of class.

Purchasing supplies from a reputable art supply store ensures quality and performance. While craft store alternatives may offer lower prices, they often fall short in consistency and results. If you choose to substitute materials on your own, please note that your outcomes will differ from those demonstrated in class.

All required materials can be conveniently purchased online from Dick Blick Art Supplies. Be sure to check their homepage for any available coupon codes before placing your order. Shipping will take up to 10 days.

For prospective students who have taken a past watercolor class or may own watercolor and related supplies. You must have the following for this class:

- A good assortment of professional watercolors.

- A watercolor paper block (not wire-bound pad).

- Kneaded eraser.

- Watercolor brushes (not brushes for crafting). Brushes should have bristles that will not bend when you get them wet (round #6; round #8; flat 3/4 inch).

- Tracing paper.

- Sketch pad no smaller than 8 x 10.
